Italy and Greece.

I went on a vacation to Italy and Greece for 3 weeks, and it was really fun! We spent the first week at Lake Garda (which is the largest lake in Italy).  It was very hilly and relaxing, we ate at a lot of different restaurants and drove to Verona and an opera called Tosca. At the end of our week we drove to Rome and spent the next four days there. We did all of the touristy stuff like visiting the Sistine chapel and the Colosseum. We walked so much it felt like my feet were going to fall off. We ate at a lot of gelato places and got to see cats living in the ruins.I bought my first purse there and it has come to be very handy.  For the last eight days we took an airplane to Mykonos and chilled. It was very windy and rocky, but the water was the priestess shade of aqua I have ever seen. We got to feed a pregnant (or nursing)  stray calico cat that we called Zita. We wanted to take her home so badly but ended up not.  The architecture was very different from what I am used. There were many friendly cats to meet in the town, but I don’t know how they deal with all of that wind. For the last day we went to Athens, and went to the Parthenon museum. It was very impressive but not that entertaining for the younger two who were on their whits end about sightseeing. In Athens I got a puff ball to go on my purse and we got one last scoop of gelato before we left. I loved all of the cats in Athens and took pictures of all the ones I saw. By the time we got home after taking a 13 hour flight we were sick of airports and security. Plus I had the biggest ramen craving ever. So we had ramen for dinner, and it took about a week to get off our jet lag. Over all I am glad we went and had a really fun time.

On a sadder note, We had to put Setset down before we left because he was very sick. I miss him very much and hope he is feeling better where ever he is. RIP Setset
