Yesterday two of my friends and I had the amazing experience of getting to see Hamilton at the Orpheum Theatre in SF. I loved how they were able to replicate the original stage in their own theater. When we got into our seats I was so excited, and I couldn’t believe that we were actually there. When it started I was immediately sucked in. For the whole thing I was on the edge of my seat, partly due to the fact that I couldn’t see any other way (there always seems to be someone blocking me). When a big explosion happened I would get a sudden surge of adrenalin, and jump back in my seat, only to be drawn in again. Overall the performance was vibrant, and fantastic. I enjoyed every little bit of it.
Additionally I got a hoodie with the Hamilton symbol on it, and was able to get many of the actors to sign my program. My favorite actor was Emmy Raver-Lampman, who played Angelica and was part of the original ensemble, as well as the under study for the original Angelica, Eliza, Peggy, and Maria.
